I'm a 30-something year old mom of 3 kids. We live in Rockville MD. I graduated from high school in 2001. I have a bachelor's degree in Architecture 2005 UMD, and a masters of civil engineering with structural concentration 2010 Norwich University. I work as a Structural Engineer for a consulting structural engineering company in Potomac. My husband works in DC. Our twins, one boy and one girl, are turning 9 years old in August 2017. Our younger daughter is about to turn 6 in April.
When I have time to myself, I like to crochet, sew, watch tv, blog, facebook, shop, or exercise. I like to "read" my books through my ears and listen to comedy podcasts. I like a LOT of tv shows so there's never a shortage of things to watch from our DVR. I have a varied sense of musical taste from straight classical, alternative, pop, oldies, etc. Anything but true country. I can play the piano, clarinet, oboe, mellophone, and pretend I can play trombone (in a Ska band once in high school, ridiculous right?). I am a self taught oboe-ist and placed first chair for 2 years in high school but I haven't picked one up since then. I was training for a 5k before my diagnosis and ran one in May 2015 in 33 minutes! I have registered for the Race for Hope 5k every year since then.
